I really think the worst thing would be to run slightly off the road, and hit one of those yellow diamond shaped road signs. Like, just graze it, just enough it scraped a ton of your paint off. I mean, it would be lame, because the only damage is to your car, and you're gonna have to pay to fix it. Also! You don't even get the satisfaction of destroying anything else but your own car. However, the state may still make you replace the sign. No cool stories when people ask what happened to you car, just "I'm a dumbass and I don't know where the road is"...then they will laugh at you.
